My husband and I have just followed the retreat of the Chosen Ones in Mauritius. During these few days of retreat, we experienced something extraordinary.
I had a very beautiful childhood, surrounded by a united family and we went to mass every Sunday. Upon becoming an adult, my mother told me that I was not obliged to do so and the decision was mine, if I did not want to participate. After a few months, I distanced myself from the Church and began to doubt.
I remained in doubt for several years, but one day, as I was asking myself questions, my mother-in-law, a committed Christian, was there to help me. Then I went to Mass with my husband and I rediscovered the Catholic faith; we began to pray together. However, our prayers did not come from the depths of our hearts. So, we decided to deepen our faith and, for us, the best way to do that was a retreat. But which one to choose? My mother-in-law talked to me about the retreat of the Chosen Ones and we decided to register. We were skeptic before we started, but right from the start, I felt a particular interest arise in me. The more the videos passed, the more I felt peaceful; the messages and testimonies touched me.
We were later invited to kneel before the tabernacle and ask a question to the Lord. Mine was: “How can I give my “Yes” and let go?” On the last day, just before Mass, we took a small paper in an envelope, believing it to be a message from God to us. On my paper, it was written: “The essential is resolved in the invisible.” I did not understand what that meant and I asked the Lord to explain it. After the Mass, the last lecture was on “the invisible.” I felt an extraordinary sensation, because I did not think that the Lord would answer me so quickly, but He did! I immediately understood that the answer to my question was to ask the other people who were present to pray for us. Indeed, we have dreamed for a few years of having a child, without success. I finally understood that our combined prayers would help us!
We have an appointment with a priest tomorrow and we will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation to begin our journey together with a pure heart. Thank you for creating this retreat that has changed our lives. Thank you also for keeping us in your prayers, you are in ours!

I have Parkinson’s disease and the disease is at an advanced stage. However, I rely on the Lord in everything I live. There is nothing that gives peace and consolation as much as struggling and suffering according to the Will of God. I have much to thank the Lord for all His graces, since from Mary to Saint John and other saints up to the three books “For the Happiness of My Own, My Chosen Ones. Jesus”, I have not deserved anything. My Thought for each day is from Volume 1, Number 114: “Thank you, Jesus, for so much love. Yes, I am very small […] Yes, I know that You love me […] Yes, I welcome Your graces […] Yes, I let myself be loved and filled […] I love you […]. “
I really like the Thoughts of the Lord. Having read it in the books, I know that He really calls me to Love, because He already loves me a lot. I want to live this call to Love for the glory of God and the salvation of souls.
I’m an Evangelical. I work in the domain of social services, helping people with mental disorders. Through my work, I use prayer for those who ask for it.
One day, when I felt unhappy, one of these people came up to me in my office to sing a Christian song. This song said that a Christian person is a light in the world. She said: “You see, you’re a light for us.” I immediately felt plunged in the joy of sharing between the Lord, her and myself.
I read and reread the books of the trilogy “For the Happiness of My Own, My Chosen Ones. Jesus”. They bring me hope, despite my personal problems. Their simplicity allows me to talk about them easily to those around me. But I must say that it is difficult to give my “Yes” to the Lord for a transformation of my being, rather than to believe that it is up to the other person to change. It is essential that I place Jesus Christ in the first place in my life, in my heart, in my decisions and in my thoughts. It is therefore quite a journey, accomplished thanks to the holy patience the Lord has towards me.

At a conference of “For the Happiness of My Own, My Chosen Ones. Jesus”, which I attended, I felt the presence of the Lord. The words quenched me, I felt an immense happiness and my thirst was satisfied. I spoke about these messages to priests, seminarians and my director of conscience. A priest from Rotondo read the book and he finds it very good.

As Jesus decided that He needed to get me out of “doing” to take care of my “being”, I only had to say “Yes” to a relapse of my multiple sclerosis and now we have organized a retreat – between Him and myself – for the very loving and greedy spouses that we are for each other! I have been on work leave for 15 days and I thank the Lord for what He is doing during this time! I’m amazed!
This morning, as I read the “Thought of the Day,” I understood everything the Lord allowed me to live during the partial fire of my house. For several years, even before I take my morning coffee in the morning, I hasten to read the “Thought of the Day” and this Thought has transformed me; it makes me understand the greatness of Love.
On the evening of December 24, I went to celebrate midnight Mass with friends across the river. Having no boat to return the same evening, I stayed overnight at the monastery before coming back the next day at noon. Before leaving the monastery, I called my neighbor who told me my house was burning. What a shock, because I had to wait for the 4 P.M. boat before being able to go home!
Upon entering the house, I saw my breviary on the ground and, just beside it, an image of St. Therese of the Child Jesus. Not understanding any of it, because the firemen had ransacked the place, I read on the picture: “Do not think that when I am in Heaven, you will have only joys. It was not what I had nor what I wanted to have. You will have great trials, but I will send you lights that will make you appreciate and love them. You will have the obligation to say as I do: “Lord, you fill me with joy by all that you do. “
At the same time, like an arrow of love piercing my heart, I saw just before me, near my heart, a little fire of small, yellowish, equal flames. My heart was so gentle, so good, that I cried out: “Thou hast given me all, Lord, Thou hast taken all away from me, Thy Holy Name be blessed. I give you everything and I totally say “Yes” to everything You desire of me.” The Lord set my heart on fire and inflamed it with His Fire-Love. What more to say? Indeed, what more can I say? What freedom and what joy!
You now understand the importance the Thought of this morning has for me and this confirmation through all these heavenly messages.
The book “42 Ingredients – For the Happiness of My Own” fully deserves its title. It is a concrete testimony of a balanced life and an invitation to balance one’s own. This invitation is also accompanied by simple but effective means of translating the desired and pursued objective into concrete results. I like to believe that this publication will reach, in space and time, many other people who are part of your extended family. They will learn how to have faith in God, in themselves, in others, and therefore to keep growing. They will learn to rely on the Lord, as you recall so well.
I thank God for speaking through you. I’ve known for a long time that He is speaking to us. I’m blessed, and my family too. We have received many graces and miracles from Him. I’ve started to read volume 1 of the trilogy “For the Happiness of My Own, My Chosen Ones. Jesus”, which is available at our small chapel of prayer. I would like to have them all, but I will take the time it takes. I also want to say “Yes”, always… and I want to learn how. Thank you! Special thanks to God!

The Thought of this day totally corresponds to what I am living. Thank you for your prayers for my son, whose wife left him alone with their three daughters.
I handed this whole situation over to Jesus, to Mother Mary, to the Holy Family and I am amazed at all the graces my son received. I’m in a state of praise and thanksgiving. There is a chain of love and friendship around him, the prayers are answered beyond what I had hoped for. The divine superabundance is at work.
One morning in November, my son said to me: “A light appeared this morning. I have a solution for the children.” I immediately knew that it was the Holy Spirit that inspired him. I thanked Him in my heart. I started to pray to St. Joseph for this project, I trusted him completely and I thanked him every day for what he was doing. At Christmas, my son announced the happy ending of this project. What a beautiful gift!
I had also passed along another concern to my parents of Heaven. Like for the previous one, I was fulfilled beyond my expectations.

I begin to understand and experience what Jesus said: “You will be in jubilation”. I cannot stop smiling and laughing like a child. At home, I don’t walk anymore … I dance as I go along, skipping like a child! I begin to smile and to drink sips of joy, even when there is nothing extraordinary happening around me. I discover and rediscover endlessly the extraordinary that envelops me and that helps me to contemplate Him in perfect joy.
Recently, I dreamed that I would get up at five in the morning, in the land of Jesus: I saw the fields, the shepherds, the sheep, the fences, the rural landscape and the gentle hills; and Mary and I walked together to meet the Risen Jesus. Since that dream, God has cured me of certain temptations of the flesh. God works even in our dreams, I’m a witness to this!
I owe the happiness that I live continually, 365 days a year, to Jesus, through you.
